I downloaded Eclipse for C/C++ developers and installed Erlide. Then I created a brand new Erlang project. First thing I did was Run -> Debug As -> Erlang Application.
I tried running without debugging, Eclipse froze again.
I'm new to Erlang so I may be missing something, but freezing should never happen. It's not such a good first impression.1 vote
Did you install an Erlang runtime? Does the editing functionality work?
Please send me the log from /erlide.log
Hi. I tried to install erlide in Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers, version 4.4.2, but it did not work. The installation goes ok, but after restart Eclipse reports error, and will not start. Is it supposed to work? If not, then which version of Eclipse do you recommend? Maybe you could mention which eclipse you run/test on somewhere.
It should work with any Eclipse 3.7 and above. I am targeting 3.7 but I run myself 4.4. If you open a support ticket at github and attach a log, I can see what is going on.
when i create a new erlang project an error occurs:
"The selected wizard could not be started.
Plug-in org.erlide.ui was unable to load class org.erlide.ui.wizards.NewErlangProject.
An error occurred while automatically activating bundle org.erlide.ui (288)."
my eclipse is: eclipse-standard-kepler-SR1-linux-gtk-x86_64.
my system is: opensuse 13.1 x86_641 vote
This should have been fixed in the latest beta – 0.24.1. What version are you using?

When I try to export my project in eDoc an empty documentation is generated. My code has comments following the eDoc spec.
From menu select "File"
Under Erlang select "eDoc"
Press "Next >"
Select project (tick)
The doc directory coatains html files but none of any of my modules, basically empty1 vote
One used to be able to simply move the mouse over the console window and move the mouse wheel to scroll back in the history. This is critically important when looking at large logs. It would be awesome if that worked again.1 vote
I will look at this. Thanks for the report!
